My School

So I've managed to find a few places in my city where they have free wireless internet. Right I'm at McDonalds. So it gives me another excuse to satisfy my huge American appetite since I can get free internet while I'm here.

I decided to give some info about my school. I work for a school called GEOS, which is one of the big 4 English language schools in Japan. My school has about 150 students, with 3 teachers and one manager.

This is my classroom. I think its actually bigger than my apartment.
Not a bad view on a clear day...

Front of the school...

Managers office. This is the most confusing place I've ever been in . Its a complete mix of Japanese and English written everywhere.

Hallway, my room is on the left.

View of the city from the balcony thing outside my window.

This is the center of my city, Hirakata.

These are the train tracks that head to Osaka.

The main train station in Hirakata.

My books and teaching materials. Lucky the teacher before me left everything.

My desk. Do you think this means I can say I've had my own office now?

I'm heading to Osaka to try and get into the Ben Kweller concert tonight. Hopefully I'll have some good pictures to upload later this week.

Hope you enjoy your time at Hirakata -- I taught in that school about 15 years ago! It was nice to see the photos of how things have changed since that time -- brought back a lot of memories! (You got the good classroom -- I always wanted that one...)

Cheers,
Sandy
