Weekend pictures

Here are a few pictures from this weekend all mixed together.

On Sunday a girl that used to teach at my school came in from London to visit all her friends. So a bunch of people met in Osaka at a place called a Shabu-Shabu. Its another all you can eat type restaurant where they give you sliced meat and vegetables, that you then cook yourself in a boiling pot of water sitting on the table.

You can see the pot to the right...

The girl to the right of me is the one from London. The other two guys I met while I was there. They own their own school up in the countryside.

Some Easter eggs...

Of course, karaoke afterwards...

So after the get together in Osaka on Sunday, I headed out to Kyoto to see some Cherry Blossoms on Monday.

A train track covered in Cherry Blossoms.

I decided to take a walking tour from the Kyoto book I borrowed from my friend Noah. Its called "A philosophical meandering through northern Higashiyama." This is a traditional Japanese rock garden the book recommended.

Some more temples along side the Cherry Blossoms.

A roman style Aqueduct. I didn't really see any information about when this was built, kind of strange to see this in the middle of traditional Japanese architecture.

The top of the Aqueduct.

A shrine under a waterfall about 1 KM up into the mountains.

View looking down from on top of the waterfall.

I walked a couple of minutes further into the woods from the waterfall. It was the first time I've felt completely outside of the city since I've been here.

A very organized baseball practice. No wonder they are so good at baseball. This was a group of about 25 kids practicing hitting and fielding, with no coach or grownup in sight.

These pictures are from the "Path of Philosophy." Its a small canal running thru southeast Kyoto covered in Cherry Blossoms.

Close up view.

I liked the palm tree next to the cherry blossoms in this picture.

Some more cherry blossoms parties...

Took these pictures from downtown Kyoto as I was leaving...

Chad,

I see you with the Asian Honeys in the pics, and I like it. I also like the quick work you did on the British girl with her arm around you. Keep up the good work.

Bro,

Two Asian chicks in the first picture are hot, I hope you are throwing simultaneous major- language-barrier game at both of them.
