There is an Amusement Park near my city called Hirakata Park. I pass by it on the train almost every week but our school went for a trip this weekend so I got a chance to check it out.
It was kind of like a cross between the state fair and six flags. Kind of small, but wasn't crowded at all.
This was the first ride. It was called Meteor drop or something.

Top Gun was closed. I was really really disappointed.

Me at lunch time with one of my students daughter.

The standard get soaking wet huge tube ride.

This ride was pretty sweet. It was like this gigantic seesaw thing. I went on it with my manager first and we rocked the house so this girl asked me to take her on it This is about the point where I have the thing going up and down pretty good and she face plants right on the bars in front of her. She was ok but I was really freaked out for a second.

Later that night I met up with some friends to hit up a rooftop place in Umeda (downtown Osaka). It was about $25 for all your can eat and drink. Plus they had the Hanshin Tigers vs Yominuri Giants game on a jumbo tron on the building beside the roof. The Tigers and Giants are tied for the lead going into the home stretch so it was really good to have your hometown baseball team competing for a playoff spot.

Here is a video of me walking around Hirakata Park. Notice the Dixie Chicks playing in the background. It was all country music the whole time which was AMAZING. I heard some Pat Green at one point.
