I was kind of excited about it because its one of those things that you say you have to do while your in Japan.
The first thing I noticed when I went in was "Wow theres a lot of foreigners here." Then I reallied, this is kind of like going to a rodeo in Texas. I mean how often do me and my friends actually go to a rodeo. Sure you have the random rodeo enthusiast sitting in the front from. But I bet if you go out to the mesquite rodeo you'd find the crowd is mostly people visiting looking for the authentic Texas experience.
So anyway we got there really early and watched the first few matches. Kind of like the minor leagues.
Then I got bored and walked around taking some pictures of some cool Japanese stuff.
This is the lineup for the day. Yes this is actually Japanese writing, but my students needed a magnifying glass to read it.
This was the main fight. Some guy from Mongolia against the top Japanese wrestler. It was pretty cool cause the Mongolian guy lost (who everyone hates) and the place went crazy and started throwing stuff on the court. I tried to uploaded a video but I think it was too big.
2 weeks until my China trip. I promise to upload a lot of pictures after that.
