Great Ocen Road Pics

Last weekend we did a trip called the Great Ocean Road.

Its a highway built along the southern coast of Australia west of Melbourne. Its supposed to be some of the best scenery in Australia.

Also my friends from Japan came down, along with Slubbs and his next door neighbor.

Saturday morning we rented two cars, and headed down to Wongalong to stay at a beach hostel.

After a day of chillin on the beach and a night barbaque we woke up Sunday morning and started down the road. The pics at the bottom are all from the first part of the road. They are all at or near the Twelve Apostles, which are these huge rock formations along the shore.

We drove further down the road and luckily enough spotted some wild Koala bears. Sorry no pictures cause my camera is still down for the count, but trust me they were cute.

Drove futher down the coast and saw some other famous beaches. Tried to make it to Bells Beach (one of the most famous surf beaches in Australia, birthplace of Billabong, Rip Curl, Quicksilver) but it was late and we couldn't find the right turn off the road. Anyway, hoping to get a surf board and head back down there soon. Its finally starting to get warm here!
